Massage Therapy
Live Pain Free

PSA: We’re not the place for candlelit Swedish massages, fluffy robes, or naps mid-session. (No judgment—we love a good spa day too! But that’s just not what we do here.)
What do we do? Think of us as your body’s repair crew. Pain? Dysfunction? Stubborn knots that laugh at regular massages? Now we’re talking. Our medical massage therapist works like a skilled mechanic—finding the problem, fixing the issue, and getting you back in working order.
Good to know:
✔ Clinical focus – We’re all about results, not just relaxation.
✔ May feel intense – (Ever had a “good hurt”? That’s the goal.)
✔ No aromatherapy – But we do have expert hands and a solid plan.
If you’re looking for a gentle, zone-out experience, we’ll happily point you to a great spa. But if you’re ready to actually fix what’s bugging you, welcome aboard!
(P.S. Your muscles might grumble during the process. We promise it’s for their own good.)
Experience the Healing power of Massage Therapy!
Massage Therapy is perhaps one of the oldest healing traditions. Many ancient peoples – including the Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese and Indians – were convinced of the therapeutic properties of massage and used it to treat a variety of ailments.
At Keystone Wellness we focus on Myofascial Release or MFR. MFR is a safe alternative medicine therapy and deep massage which treats skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles. This helps improve blood and lymphatic circulation, as well as stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles. It also helps to create the conditions for the body's return to normal health after injury or muscular-skeletal disorders. To achieve these goals we use devices such as scraping tools, massage cups, mobility bands, etc. Meaning eliminating pain and restoring your full range of motion!

Benefits of Massage Therapy
One of the immediate benefits of massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. This occurs because massage prompts the release of endorphins – the brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) that produce feelings of wellbeing.
Levels of stress hormones, such as adrenalin, cortisol and norepinephrine, are also reduced. Studies indicate that high levels of stress hormones impair the immune system.
Research indicates that massage and myofascial release therapy are effective in managing:
-
subacute/chronic low back pain
-
delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)
-
anxiety
-
stress
-
soft tissue injuries
-
high blood pressure
-
insomnia.
-
They can also be effectively used to support people with:
-
a chronic disease
-
a life threatening illness, such as cancer.
Some of the physical benefits of massage and myofascial therapy include:
-
reduced muscle tension
-
improved circulation
-
stimulation of the lymphatic system
-
reduction of stress hormones
-
relaxation
-
increased joint mobility and flexibility
-
improved skin tone
-
improved recovery of soft tissue injuries
-
heightened mental alertness
-
reduced anxiety and depression.
What exactly is cupping therapy?
Despite its recent surge in popularity, cupping is far from a modern fad. With its origins dating back thousands of years, this ancient practice has deep roots in cultures such as ancient Egypt, China, and the Middle East.
How does cupping therapy work?
John E. Ebinger further explains, “The negative pressure created by this suction facilitates myofascial decompression as the skin is drawn into the cups. While traditional massage therapy applies direct pressure to alleviate tension, cupping utilizes negative pressure to lift muscle fibers and enhance blood circulation in the targeted area.”
At Keystone we only use one of the two primary cupping methods, Dry Cupping. In dry cupping, a pumping technique is employed to draw the skin tissue into the cup. This subcutaneous tissue is then held within the cups for a specified duration, typically ranging from 5 to 15 minutes. During dry cupping, the cups may either be stationary or moved across the skin, known respectively as stagnant and dynamic cupping.
